This is a French dish, which is usually served for breakfast, but of course, it is also possible to serve as a dessert.
In French, this dish is called “lost bread”, because it is usually made from bread that is not fresh.
More than once this dish has saved old bread in our house from being thrown away, also because the recipe is easy to prepare, and of course, because it is delicious!

Ingredients:

8-10 slices of bread
1 cup of milk
3-4 eggs
oil for frying
Recipe:

  1. Beat the eggs, add a glass of milk, and mix well.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan, and dip each slice in the resulting batter.
  3. Then fry until the bread is golden brown on all sides.
  4. Preferably served hot.

Ingredients:

3 eggs
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda dissolved in water
200 gr. sour cream
1/2 cup milk
2 cups of flour
vegetable oil

Recipe:

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a mixer until you get a smooth batter.
  2. Measure portions of the batter in a ladle and pour into the hot pan.
  3. Fry until the pancake easily separates from the pan, flip and fry on the other side.
  4. Serve with maple syrup on top or with whipped cream.
